Unofficially the official count for our last event of the season is back up to 14 boats.  Doug of Charity got talked into coming out to play.  He is claiming that he’s got some new and interesting goodies to try.  Watch for the boat with the tan bark sails!  I heard a rumor that he might just put up his square sail!  I’m hoping…

I think we now have the world’s biggest Piver Trimaran fleet!  Billy on Yellow Star, Patty on Pitufa and our newest competitor, Mario, on a 25′ speedster named Marionette.  To round up the multi-hull fleet will be Carl on Banana Split with his 18′ Prindle.

I had mentioned we might have a new class in the making.  No luck because we couldn’t find another boat that we could pair up with Max on Panacea II.

Another newcomer to our fleet is Giovanni on Jugaste.  This will also be his first race with us although he has crewed on other boats in the past, most recently was aboard Chance.  Jugaste will be competing in Class B.

The competitors can take a breather, Aventura’s new headsail hasn’t been delivered yet.  Another new entry in Class A is the other Marionette with Bruce at the helm.  He shouldn’t be to hard to spot out there on the course, it’s a 50′ Choy Lee.

To fill out the fleet are David and Mike on Ansa, Robert on Wind Pirate, Bill on Cloud IX, John on Mariah and lastly me, Rick on Karma.  I think that makes 14 but I could be wrong…

Al our favorite Committee Boat skipper will be doing the honors again.  From what I understand he’s assembled quite a crew to help him keep track of all of us…

So let’s get out there and play!  The start will be a bit crowed so be careful and give way. See you out there.
